Sergio Brinatti's multidisciplinary take is a way to maintain a creative rhythm while challenging himself with new mediums and approaches. Ranging from sculptures to audio pieces, he soon realized that a single medium as a way of expression was too limiting. "I'm often dissatisfied with a single form of communication, which brings me to adapt and include new elements into my work, such as technology, used materials, etc." His body of work engages with different areas of psychology, biology, nature, etc.
Apart from his main projects, In the year of 2014, he begin a series of photographs titled Fast Photography under the pseudonym of Miels El Nucleus. The Fast Photography series was created using a mobile phone camera as the main characteristic of the series. Intended not to have any sort of visual enhancement through other digital tools, instead, these images were meant to have a raw and yet fresh aesthetic that was original to the camera and its settings. Inspired by the “fast” lifestyle our times have currently evolved into and the idea that every individual carries this magnificent tool in their pockets ultimately changing the way we register moments and deal with this art. To create emphasis on the theme, these images were taken with a strong sense of speed and movement that were also very unique to the camera. Essentially, this became an experimental project in which the artist explores and manifests powerful and visually appealing photographs. Having gathered over 1.000 photographs, in the year 2019 the artist self-published a book containing a selection of over 200 images.
From 2018 until 2021, Sergio decided to act under the alias of Finale Otto to work on a vast collection of paper collages and printing projects. Creating a series of zines where he explored and published a range of existing and new digital projects. The idea of working under different personas, allows the artist to explore new artistic scenarios and tools with an unattached and fresh mindset. Usually, these pseudonyms come to life as these parallels ideas take shape while I work on other more extensive projects — I see these artistic possibilities as “hobbies” or actual “breaks” from my main projects.  This way I can create and establish new visual styles without having to worry about them interfering with one another. Is just a functional way to keep things well organized while having lots of fun embracing different mindsets.
Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, he moved to the United States a month after his 18th birthday. He received an A.A. in Visual Communication and a B.F.A. from the Michael Graves College, Robert Busch School of Design at Kean University.
Beginning his fine arts career after receiving a gold award fine arts scholarship in 2016, he has been working on a series of creative projects ever since.
